You did not offend me at all with what you said about us not
really knowing one another, but I have a different outlook than you, so

You are right, I have never met any of the women on this site
that I have become close to. That, I think, is one of God's
miracles.
It does make a difference that we are separated by distance
and disease, but that does not mean that we cannot truly get to know one
another.
The women I share my feelings with do the same with me.
We open our hearts to one another. We speak of things that we cannot share
with other friends or family because they do not fully understand the breadth of
our pain and other issues surrounding TM.
We talk about our wonderful caregivers, about the isolation,
the constant cathing, the pressure sores...you know all of this.
I feel very close to the friends I have made here at TMIC, and
I know a couple of them that value my friendship too. That's the way love
works and grows. It doesn't matter whether I know your face at all...it's
whether I know your heart that counts.
