My lesion was at C7 and my band was just below my rib cage. In the hospital it felt an iron band without any pain. After a few months it was a band of pain that comes if I lay on my back. This has been for 26 years, I don't have it all the time only when I sit in with recliner too far back or try to sleep on my back.

Hi Sally,Yes, the doctor did tell me that my banding was probably at the location of the damage in my spinal cord. T4-T8Todd TM/April, 2002 in Corpus Christi, Texas

Mine's at T6 - T8, and the tightness I feel is just below my rib cage. Do the locations of other TMer's banding depend on where their damage is on the spinal cord?Sally
