. I know it isn't your place to make buildings accessible, but is there
such a thing wide enough for wheelchair use? I can't imagine your
frustration.

While I basically agree it's not Jeff's place to make buildings accessible I
think that when those of us in chairs run into situations like he did, it is
up to us to make the management of the building aware of the problem.
Sometimes all it takes is just making people aware of the problem and they
are more than happy to fix it. Sometimes you can do it by yourself and get
great results and sometimes it takes more effort and more people. I worked
with one of the major league baseball teams several years ago specifically
on wheelchair seating, accessible bathrooms, ticket sales, food sales etc.
They really listened and put many of the items we discussed into effect. I
went into the first meeting thinking I would probably be blown off. Not so.

While it is really aggrevating when we are denied access for whatever
reason, then it is up to us to make an effort to right it. Many times it is
not just frustrating, but embarrassing when we are shut out of an area.
Folks fought hard for ADA rights and we need to continue the fight.

Sorry I am so wordy here but access is a passion of mine.
