. Guillain Barre most usually occurs after a
gastrointestinal or respiratory infection. It is also referred to
as: Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy. It is
confined to the peripheral nerves. Symptoms usually begin slowly and
progress over a period of a few months, until crisis is reached.
