Unfortunately, cheap won't do in this modern sped-crazed age.
I don't know what y'all pay for AOL but when I had Earthlink dial-up I paid 19.95 a month.
 
Now we have Earthlink cable via Time-Warner and it's 41.95.  We chose cable over DSL because the phone lines in our neighborhood are very old and DSL was unreliable, or so said my brother-in-law who also switched to cable after getting fed up with a bad DSL.
 
If you want cheep, there are plenty of them out there, Aristotle is one of them, peoplepc is a nuther wun, but they all have tons of ads, a definite no-no for my taste.  I have no idea how reliable any of them are.  The bad ones don't stay in business very long.

So what do you recommend instead of AOL.  Please don't tell me something more expensive.  :)  But I don't mind changing to something cheaper.
