That is very interesting. I have MVP. I first noticed it when I
was 16 and started having these "panic attacks". They weren't called that
then, but it wasn't any fun. For no reason I would just lose it.
Mostly at night while laying in bed. The Dr's fix was Valium. That
only sent me into a deep state of depression. I stopped the Valium and
focused on stopping the panic attacks on my own. I did this. It was
hard but I did it before it was even a recognized condition.
So is this somehow related to TM? Even if it is later in life?

Have any of you checked out the possibility of Mitral Valve Prolapse
Sydrome? Panic attacks are one of the symptoms. I'm not suggesting
that meds aren't ever called for, but sometimes you can control them to some
extent with nutrition and exercise. I have MVPS, but have never had
panic attacks (there are a myriad of symptoms). A common denominator in
MVPS is a dysfunctional Autonomic Nervous System. I found it interesting
that this is also a 'side effect' of TM!
Check out MVPS on the web.
