You are an inspiration! Congrats!! I remember 4 years ago when I was in therapy and they would make me stand up and I felt like I was 10 feet tall and that I was truly going to just topple over…. I was terrified….I had a death grip on the parallel bars… and I walked like a wooden soldier… so stiff and unbending. I walk like that now at times and with a death grip on my walker… I also like to drink my wine so now no-one is really sure whether it’s the TM or the wine that causes me to walk like a weirdo. There are some advantages J
So go for it… And I would not call this a “Little milestone” every one is huge!! Trudy, Virginia

Hello everyone, I feel as though I've won the 10K race!!! I have been going to therapy for a couple of weeks now and trying to utilize my leg braces and I held myself up for 2 minutes. I surely wasn't easy but I did have the support of parallel bars and there were 2 ladies (1 in front, 1 in back) in case I toppled over like a tree. It's been 5+ years post TM and don't forget, I was initially paralyzed from the jaw down and now still at mid hip. My upper body still has a way to go as now my arms must do what my legs did. It's going to be a l-o-n-g haul but I've never run away from hard work. Have a great afternoon.
