Alton,
After thinking about it for a bit, I remembered that I have
been advised to have every doctor who might have anything to do with my
health care to write a letter to my insurance company explaining why an
electric wheelchair might help me and make life better and easier for me
and also less expensive for them. I need to get a chair that
reclines and changes positions because of my getting pressure
sores.
Come to think of it, I may have a beautiful, four-year old
Quickie II chair for sale. It's a lovely teal blue and takes one
large battery that Dave says is the only drawback because it is so
heavy.
I got this one before I left the hospital after initial
rehab. The PT there recommended it for me, so I suggest that if you
are seeing one now, have them write the letter first. But, according
to the place from where I will get the chair, one needs as many letters as
possible.
Rotor cuff (is that right?) is a very good
reason.
Peace,
Jude
