I had my first appointment with my new neuro.  There was good news, and bad news, depending upon how one looks at it.  One thing that was cleared up for me was the significance of the NMO titre.  The doctor explained to me, that one  individual can have an undetectable titre and have severe problems, while another individual may have a very high titre with minimal problems.  I was hoping that since my latest NMO test (Done at the end of May.) was negative, that this would mean I was in a relatively safe zone, but was told that this is not necessarily true.  We are waiting now for the University of Pittsburgh to get my hospital records sent---I've sent them TWO releases and haven't gotten them yet, so am considering getting an attorney.  The lack of these records---which are mine by law---is costing me valuable treatment time.  Right now, we are continuing with the treatment that was instituted by my neuro in PA.   Developing a new treatment protocol is not possible until the records and films are procured.  At least though, I had my regular Neuro's records.  It took me almost 3 months to get them.  Guess I should be thankful for small miracles, eh?

Keep your fingers crossed for me,
Grace
