Some months after my TM attack I was walking into a doctor's office to see a different doc to rule out more diseases. (lol)  Anyway this office has a long walkway with mirrored doors at the end going into the lobby.  I was wobbling along looking at those mirrored doors and saw a woman reflected in the mirrored doors and thinking "look at her! what a disgrace to be out in public drunk like that--she can barely walk!".  I'm sure you've figured out that it was MY reflection I was seeing.  As I got closer to the doors I realized it was me and I was pretty stunned.  I knew I had a hard time walking but I didn't know I looked that that.

Sometimes I think what's the use of even going to the Dr.  My lesion is at the C 2-3 level.  I can't take the heat since TM came along.  I walk unassisted but have trouble with balance.  I stumble and stagger.
You know Marie,  it sounds like you need a different doctor.  Even if you can walk, and maybe you are not as needy as some of us less fortunate, you have bad days, and you have symptoms and side effects of TM along with a firm dx (correct?), you are in need of help on the days when it is difficult to get around.  No one likes to look or feel like a "drunk" when out in public.

Find someone who will sympathize with your symptoms and do try to keep your Diabetes in check so that the Dr.s don't use that as an excuse.

Best of everything,
Peace and Prayers,
