Trudy
I'm sorry to hear that you're now in a wheelchair. I hope you improve from
your fall.
The timing of your post is perfect. I'm going through the Neurontin vs. Lyrica
decision right now. I have a two month supply of Lyrica samples that my neuro
gave me two weeks ago so I could make the switch if I make that decision.
Yesterday I saw a new gp and asked him what his experience with Lyrica had
been. He said about 50/50. He felt it had too many side affects. He asked me
to stick with my Neuro's first plan of increasing my Effexor dose. If that
didn't offer enough pain relief he would like to see me switch from Effexor to
Cymbalta.
I'm saving your post as a reminder that this decision isn't to be taken lightly.
