I completely agree with Gary. Michael J. Fox stepped into the political arena and misrepresented the issues. The fact that he has a terrible disease does not exempt him from criticism. Rush never ridiculed Fox.

Sue,I'm not appalled about the Rush Limbaugh remarks because I think I heard the context of his comments.The main concern was the Michael J.Fox seemed to be used by a political party to comment on stem cell research. My understanding is that it was all paid for by a political party (not donated funds on behalf of stem cell research)to endorse a political agenda and does not seem to be totally factual as far as how "close" we are to finding cures using stem cells-that seems to be the problem Rush Limbaugh has with Mr. Fox's "advertisements".He was not "poking fun" at Fox's infirmities; just remarking about his condition (Mr. Fox admitted in his book, it was reported, that he did not take his medicine prior to such appearances which led to comments made about the severity of the Parkinson's).That is why I am not appalled by the comments as they were not made to ridicule Michael's condition, in my opinion.It also has to be remembered that just because someone is sick doesn't mean one cannot still refute their comments if he/she does not agree.If we have TM and say one plus one is three we are still wrong, TM or not.
