Pam, I am so sorry to hear that you are ill. My neuro, rheumatologist and internist have all told me that if I get a fever, bladder infection, a cold - anything - I must go to the hospital right away. I also take Imuran, along with a myriad of meds and have a "very compromised immune system" - no kidding.... My rheumatologist told me to get a flu shot and a pneumonia shot. He said if I got the flu I would be in the hospital, most likely pneumonia would follow "and I can tell you that this usually results in death" on the other hand if I don't get the flu shot I risk another attack on my spine"  -  "you choose" - and a whole lot of other happy stuff. To date, I've done nothing. My whole family is scared to come near me for fear they will pass a germ on to me. So here I am - just relaxing and taking each day as it comes. I can't live in a bubble. THEY BOTH GOING TO CALL ME LATER TODAY. I AM HOT COLD HAVE A TEMP SORE THROAT AND I KNOW THEY WILL DECIDE WHAT MEDS TO GIVE ME. I TRY NOT TO THINK ABOUT IF IT AFFECTS MY SPINE.
