Frank, I am very aware of all the things that you've mentioned. I did my homework thoroughly before deciding to get the pump. I got my pump to decrease my spasticity, not pain. I am a C-4 quadriplegic who was originally paralyzed from the neck down. I am currently paralyzed on the right side and have very limited movement of my left arm and left leg. The pump offers me the opportunity to be able to stand and walk a short distance on a platform walker. So far, I haven't had any problems with my pump at all.
