One of my paraplegic friends called to ask my advice on a mattress and I don't have a clue as to how to advise him so told him I would ask my TM family. He is at high risk for bed sores and has a lot of scar tissue on his buttocks. He has been bedridden for months with his last bed sore which was 4-1/2" x 3-1/2". He is wondering what the best "pressure relieving" mattress would be. At the moment he is using a waterbed but is willing to purchase a regular mattress. He has "sheared" that last bed sore twice trying to transfer from that waterbed so I'm wondering if a regular mattress would be better for him...???
