Hello All,
I cannot even remember if I wrote you all or not as to Laurie's surgery.
The surgeon said it went well, better than he expected. She has to stay in the
hospital a couple of more days, some of her body nutrient chemicals dropped
drastically, like calcium iron, etc. So they are gonna keep her until she gets
close to normal, probably until Friday. She is in a lot of pain of course, they
had to cut open about 4 inches across her throat into the neck region beside
the pharynx and larynx. She is dealing with the hospital as best she can, she
does not want to be in them period! No longer than absolutely necessary for
sure.
As for me, I am one of these people who hold it together with whatever is
needed until the crisis is past, then I fall apart. So I am kinda a basket case
now, just letting the emotions and feelings out, no matter what they are. Our
friends and as we call them :our extended family" have been angels. And I know
the many thoughts and prayers from all of you at TMIC played a very important
role also. From out hearts to yours, a greatful and heartfelt thanks to all of
you. Will keep you updated as days go by.....
