Unfortunately we don't get the Montel Williams show here in Calgary or I would
watch. I read Allen Rucker's book. Borrowed it from the library. It was an
interesting book. I would encourage others to read it. Not sure if it was a
great book or not but it does talk about the many ups and downs of TM.

Subject: [TMIC] Fw: Allen Rucker on Montel Williams Tuesday June 12

For those of you who feel that nobody is working on contacting talk show
hosts to get the word out about transverse myelitis, please read the following
message. Also, please let all your friends and family know that Montel
Williams show will be aired, and that they need to watch the show.

Allen Rucker, author of THE BEST SEAT IN THE HOUSE, will appear on THE MONTEL
WILLIAMS SHOW on Tuesday, June 12th to discuss his book.

"Who owns the definition of you?" is one of Montel's signature questions to
people that feel hopeless in their lives. The answer is simple: No one owns the
definition of you but you. Despite one's circumstance, people can turn an
adverse situation into a success. Rhonda and Stephanie are conjoined twins who
are 29 years old. They were connected at their backsides and separated as
infants. Over the years, Rhonda and Stephanie have undergone over 20 surgeries
combined, but they have never allowed their physical challenges to discourage
them.

Allen is an award-winning television writer/producer and a husband and father
of two. Allen says that one morning 10 years ago he woke up and was unable to
move. He eventually became paralyzed for life by a rare condition called
Transverse Myelitis. After a period of depression Allen says he began to regain
control of his life and started writing. He is now a New York Times
best-selling author!

Lesley is a 17-year-old girl who was born HIV positive. Although growing up
was difficult for Lesley, she now tours the country talking to students about
HIV/AIDS. She has gone to Washington D.C. to speak with her congressman, is a
certified HIV educator with the Red Cross, and has received countless awards
for her efforts.
