Kevin,
Hope the parking lot IS going to be done correctly for you.
You need it and should have it. Maybe let you doctor know that they are
working on you parking lot and that you are unable to get out until they are
finished. That might get you another month.
We are praying for your medications & for a GREAT parking lot,
  Todd in CC, TX

Patti,

I always call my meds in before they run out. I was forced to move my car
a block away because it was 'tagged' as abandoned. I am fighting with
my building, and yesterday the dirctor of fair housing from my state
came out here. Coincidentally, the building had workers re-paving the
parking lots. The director called me from downstairs and asked what
I want them to do. I said they need to make a cut in the curb for
wheelchair or walker usage. I heard him telling the men to do it. I understand
the whole sidewalk in front of the entrance to my building was immediately
broken up to do this. Now this building knows I am not bluffing.

All of this is taking a toll on me. I have been housebound for 6 months.
When I called my pharmacist they said there was nothing they could
do, the doctor wants to see me. Well, that changed today after my Mother
called the office. Now there may be a backlash and the doctor might
drop me, I don't know.

Yes I bought the walker to try and get to my car, but my car
is still farther away than it was before the building hassled me.
I think the building may regret that now. I run out of steam
wlking from the bedroom to the living room, and it's not
that far. I haven't been able to use the walker to get downstairs
yet. I am constantly fatigued from TM and my medications make
it worse. There are 2 sets of stairs from my lobby to the sidewalk,
and the doormen are not allowed to help anyone unless they
are visually impaired. This is discrimination and illegal, and I
have been fighting this too. I don't know if they will
carry my rollator down the steps. Right now I have pain from
my head to my feet, and all this fighting and stress is surely making it worse.

You don't have to mind your own business, we're here for each other, right?

Thanks for your concern and kind thoughts.

Kevin

Kevin Don't "fire" your doctor if you have liked him up to this time. Good
doctors are hard to find and the fact that you are being asked to come in
before he will renew your rx again could be another sign of being a good
doctor. Have you called back to ask if you can have a one month supply? Have
you asked your pharmacy to call and ask for a one month supply? All of us
need to be proactive in our medical care and be aware of the date that our RX
expires. Doctor's and Pharmacists change their protocol due to laws and law
suits. My husband lets his prescriptions run out then goes through the
pharmacist and the typical answer is "Jim, your doctor renewed this for one
month. She wants to see you - Now!" His doctor will not renew his meds again
without blood work and she has to strong-arm him to come in. 38 years of
marriage and I haven't changed him yet! I hope you aren't in such poor
health that you need an ambulance to take you to your doctor's office. I
thought you were buying a walker to allow you better mobility outside and
fighting you condo assoc for a better parking place. Has your condition
worsened or do I have people mixed up. If I do, I'll blame it on my meds! I
hope you get this resolved soon, it can't be good for you. Patti - (maybe I
should mind my own business?) ---- Kevin Wolfthal <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

cannot help you. Unfortunately that is my situation also, EXCEPT for the
blood pressure medication. And it took me about 3 years to get the proper
combination of BP meds, Vasotec and Metoprolol, to regulate my BP. I happened
to like this doctor until now. I also understand that they are obligated to
see patients periodically. But did he have to cut off my medication
completely to strong-arm me into making an appointment? All they had to do
was call me and tell me he has to see me. I will make an
appointment, and use an ambulance to get there probably. My Mother's
doctor calls her when he wants to see her, and if she tells them she feels
fine, they accept it. They don't just cut off her prescriptions. This is
criminal and unconscionable, and I will probably fire this doctor after I
get my medications. Take care, Kevin Natalie Boyles

Hi Kevin, You need to do what I am going to do - stop going to the doctors
unless I am dying. And, then, I guess I will not need them. I do not think
they can help some of us. Just the way it is. So, I will go only when there
is no other option. I will go for thyroid blood test, perhaps a mammogram and
if I get so sick I think even a doctor could not do more harm. These are the
only reasons. You need to go to someone and get your blood pressure meds
though. Or, maybe they goofed there too and you really do not need them. The
doctors almost erroneously put me on them. Thinking about doctors and tests
and apptments is bad for ones health. Unless of course the doctors can help.
In my case, they evidently cannot. Natalie On 6/18/07, *Kevin Wolfthal*

I wonder if my doctor would be legally liable if I get sick because I
couldn't come in and he refused to
refill my blood pressure medication? I think the doctors got together
and figured out a way to milk out some moe of our insurance money.
In case there's any doubt, I don't trust the medical
profession. For those who are happy with their doctors, you are very
lucky. Kevin
