Hi Naomi,

It's a little over two years since my first attack also. Please don't
give up hoping for more improvement. A little over two years ago, I
never dreamed that I would be walking unassisted again (I do still
use my cane.) or being hopeful about life. Yes, I'll have more
attacks, Devics is like that, but hopefully thanks to Rituxin they'll
be more manageable than in the past. I know it's tough to remain
hopeful. During my last eye bout I thought I might lose my mind, but
somehow I found the will to keep plugging---and I'm still hopeful that
I'll regain more of my sight. Naomi, please know that you are in the
thoughts and prayers of many, and don't give up.

Your friend,
Grace (And I understand where you're coming from re; insurance
companies. What a pain.)

Quadius,

Today marks my two year anniversary for my Transverse Myelitis. It's really
depressing because I thought, by the two-year period, I would have gained
more movement and made more progress. To be perfectly honest, I'm worse off
than I am when I left the hospital. I am still struggling with my insurance
company to provide more therapy. I know it is stated that you're pretty
much where you're going to be at the two-year mark. I certainly hope this
isn't true. That would remove all hope. I've read of people progressing
beyond this point. I pray for more recovery.
