Hi,
The problem with the government is that the federal employees have the
best insurance available.They don't get the hassles and high cost the rest of
the population has to pay.
My brother in law retired from the VA at age 65.All he pays is a minimal
amount for ANY script he gets!This is the same insurance that the
congress,senators and other federal employees get.They don't have a clue what
it costs to have REAL insurance premiums and payments.Why should they change
the laws when they're covered for everything?
My sister had a PET scan costing over $6,000 (her doc thought she might
have cancer in her chest by her ribs).He repeated it a few weeks later,and the
repeat was paid for without any problem.Try that with regular insurance.
What's the answer?Who knows.But the people in this country are used to
having tests done quickly,and so called "socialized medicine" is Very
slow,unless there is an emergency situation.
