We have three large maple trees in our yard. Shade in summer and  
stunning beauty in October. And a ton of leaves in November.

I strapped the power head of the shop vacuum to the arm of the  
wheelchair, plugged in the long, outdoor extension cord, and roared  
off to blow leaves, wig-wagging to clear a strip about six feet wide.

It violated the tranquility of our home, but I felt that for once I  
was doing something useful.
