Hi gang,

I was at my doctor's yesterday, a new dr. who I have just been seeing the
last several months. I was in just to be checked to get refills for a couple
of
medications and also to ask about getting the tetanus booster, because it's
been over ten years since I had one. She said because of the TM she wouldn't
recommend getting one unless I did step on a rusty nail or something like
that. She said the danger of tetanus isn't what it used to be.

I have heard of people getting TM after flu shots, chicken pox, and
hepatitis vaccines, but not after tetanus, and the last one I had was after my
TM
onset, and I handled that with no ill effects.

She will give it to me if I want it, or I could always go down to the health
department.

I certainly don't mind avoiding a shot, and I am wary of a lot of vaccines,
but I thought the tetanus one was relatively safe, and I thought the risks of
not having it were greater than the risks of getting it.

What do you think?
