Oh, Candy.... I love reading your things! I have always loved shoes but,
too, had to give them all away and then came all of my uniforms then the
pretty clothes that used to fit so well. Did I ever make my sister happy
when she got this great big bag of shoes!!! My whole body changed and now I
don't recognize it when I look in the mirror but what the heck...at least I
can walk even if it does look like I hit the bottle every day! Good thing I
have strong walls and furniture as I waddle and bump as I move from room to
room, again, like you, dragging that one foot. If I take a cane when we go
anywhere then people don't seem to have that smirky half grin on their face
like they do if I don't!!We just laugh about it and that laughing has gotten
us through a whole lot!

This TMIC chat line has been the very best, I swear! I read what you all
write and it is almost word for word what I wonder about and experience. I
just can't thank enough for sharing and being part of my every day.

On the make up, I found a really good line called DHC which carries products
that I find really helpful. You can go on-line, sign up and they will send
a catalog and little samples for you to try. They are really into health so
that is good and if you order? Please use my name and 'hooray'!, I get a
bit of a credit!! I'm really pleased with it because it is so pure. Just a
thought.

Thank you, again, ALL OF YOU....and GOD BLESS YOU!!

Jeanne in Dayton, WA where it is bone chilling cold! Come on Spring!!

hi -- I also used to sweat like a you-know-what when I was taking
anti-depressants many years ago. I tried everything. The only makeup that
doesn't come off and run into your eyes when you sweat is the "waterproof"
makeup, like Revlon Color Stay. You also have to use waterproof mascaras,
and waterproof eye shadows, etc. The Color Stay stuff was the best I could
find at that time, they may have better things available now. But you need
a really good creamy remover to remove it at night, and baby oil to remove
waterproof mascara. The only problem with this type of makeup is that it is
quite thick, and looks a little pasty on the face. Try to find a perfect
color match, that will help. Or some other companies may have better stuff
now.

Ladies I have a question. Has anyone found a makeup that doesn't come off
when you sweat?
I have a friend that was a beautician and she said to try one of the mineral
makeups.
I'm tired of looking like a crippled bag woman. It's bad enough to have to
find pull-on flat shoes that will stay while "dragging" one foot and also
try to find fashionable looking/fitting clothes that you can pull on or that
have BIG buttons.
To think of all the heels that I gave away - let alone the work and dressy
clothes! Some days I look in the mirror and could just cry! It's bad
enough to be getting older but to look and act twice your age just gets too
me. I know this sounds vain, but I've never looked this bad except for a
week or two after an operation.

Prayers and thoughts for you and yours,

Candy K.
