re: Jude and C Diff (not C Biff)... It's a GI problem where your normal flora is killed off due to various antibiotics and you produce mass amounts of foul, smelly, diarrhea. C Diff is short for Clostridium Difficile. http://www.phac-aspc.gc.ca/c-difficile/index-eng.php It is a very common problem we have here where I am in Montreal, QC. I had it when I was first in hospital with TM after I had been on antibiotics for a UTI. It was hell and now working as a student nurse I am surrounded by it all the time. She will now have to be careful when she is on any antibiotics that can set it off. Marieke

A gut issue where the bad bacteria is dominant over the good?? That's the analogy that I use anyway. I had it 2 years ago, and per my MD, may never quite get rid of it so need to make sure I continue to use probiotics. It takes a good while before you have any relief at all from it, and it is generally caused by too many antibiotics which kill off the good, bad and the ugly. Keep praying all! With the size, location, and severity of the clots, they had told her to expect to be in bed with NO moving, in ICU for at least 10 days. Needless to say, I sent this e-mail out Monday afternoon after calling to check up on her. Nothing had changed, in fact, she was in a LOT of pain so to her it was getting worse. By the time Shawn and I were able to get to the hospital to see her (8pm – 9pm visiting hours), she said she felt 100% better. India said she took a nap after the afternoon visiting hours (they were 330pm – 530pm) and when she woke up, she was feeling very good. She was able to get out of bed and go to the bathroom, with a nurse, but still! That night just after we left, she was moved to a regular room. The following morning the doctors told her the clots were gone and she was to be released later in the day. Shawn and I didn’t even get a chance to see her again, we were called at 11am and they told us that she was going to be released to not bother coming by the hospital, and by 4pm she was out! All I have to say is ‘NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF PRAYER!’ THANK YOU ALL SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much!
