To the entire group: ????? When?I wrote yesterday complaining about e mails unrelated to TM I believe some people in the group interpreted what I was saying in a very personal way. I realize that I am blessed that I am able to work and drive and most importantly walk. This is more than many of the people inflicted with this horrendous condition?are able to do. However the fact that I am able to accomplish these things does not mean they come easy. I tire easily...I am in discomfort 24/7 for the past 10 years. I realize that no two of us are exactly the same...but don't measure the degree of my condition by what I do or don't do. I have worked extremely hard to accomplish what I do. I go to the gym regularly,swim, lift weights?etc. Every second of these workouts HURT and they never get easier! My point is that none of us can judge any other one of us as to the degree of the conditions and or the tolerance to pain. That being said I do consider myself one of the lucky ones. ???? I have no problem with personal issues being discussed on our site. Some of these issues many of us have to deal with and it is great to see how others are handling the same problem. I do have a problem with private jokes, anecdotes and other e mails which I consider inappropriate for distribution to the entire group. I realize many in the group are not able to work and have plenty of time to write and read e mails and this probably help make the day better for them. They should continue to do this...only do it to other people who are receptive to them. ??? When i wrote about this yesterday I had no intention of angering people.?I certainly appreciate that Pam realized that my intentions were not selfish or uncaring. I took it upon myself to try to start up a support group in New Jersey (see newsletter). I am never to busy to help answer another members questions or concerns. ???? I did find it unsettling that I received some very angry e mails ( I also received many more that supported my argument). People we are all in this together....I just hope we can all act this way. ???? I promise this is my last post on this topic and once again I apologize to any and all that I offended.
