Hi, Tracey! Just a quick note (I hope...I get a little chatty)! When I was first admitted to ICU they did think I had the GBS but quickly ruled it out after doing just a few tests. They could see the damage right away after seeing the spinal cord on an MRI but still didn't know what had caused it. I'm so sorry for your little girl. This site has brought such strength and caring and I feel so blessed to have found it. I hope you do, too.

She was only 11 so the only "stress" that she had was being a typical 11 year old girl in 5th grade. She hadn't been vaccinated for quite some time before she got it either (probably a few years, I don't have the records on hand). The ER Dr. who treated her immediately after she was inflicted stated that he thought that it came from the infection that she had...... Has anyone else recd the GBS and TM diagnosis instead of just one or the other?? Tracey L.
