I was told stress was "maybe" part of what caused my tm.That was a terrible
year for me.My son had a mental breakdown,my youngest daughter was getting a
divorce,and I was working 4 12 hr (7p-7:30a) shifts as an RN in an acute care
hospital's respiratory care unit.
I was exhausted from work and visiting my son daily for the approximately 2
months he was in a locked ward in our local VA hospital.
But the docs said in the end it was a "virus" that attacked my spinal
cord.I was told by another doc years earlier "when drs. don't know what the
problem is they blame it on a virus,and no one can prove or disprove
it".(Except for the obvious ones like GBS)
