Hi, Grace,

When Jack and I went to Johns Hopkins, we saw a neuro named Dr. Jeff
Rumbaugh, who is in Dr. Kerr's team. He performed a long, very thorough
exam and said he was 99% sure I had 'TM' but wanted to rule out that 1%
chance I had MS so he had me do another brain MRI which came out negative so
he, in turn, said he was correct in his initial diagnosis of TM. This was
Jan. of 2007. He was the third neuro that did the very same thing. I guess
we just know as I think they don't either in most cases since we TM'ers are
a rare bunch, right? Jeanne in Dayton

Hello Carol,

I belong to an extremely large MS group, and many members have, in fact,
been diagnosed with MS with a relatively clean MRI. MS is a *rule in, rule
out* type of disease. Many are also extremely frustrated, that they are
still having severe problems and cannot get a definitive diagnosis. The
thing is, an individual can have a few small lesions, and be severely
disabled, while another, presenting with many, can still be relatively
symptom free.

Grace
