Thanks, Barbara, for sending this info, especially on the shoes! I think I
might have seen the ones Pete is talking about. We'll have to check them
out and let everyone else know if they work. Speaking of shoes, you can't
imagine how many I've tried and just can't use. It makes my sister so very
happy when this happens! j

Hello Jean,

I have to make a conscious effort every time I take a step with my right
foot to do the heel-toe thing. If not, I stub my toe and often trip myself.
My foot drop isn't nearly as severe as a lot of folks, but still causes a
problem for me. When walking barefoot, I find myself rubbing the skin on
the tips of my middle toes also as they curl downward and have formed a
callous on them. I have been told that some need surgery to correct the
curling of the toes. Yikes, I don't want that but sooner or later it will
probably be a problem being able to wear certain shoes.

Thanks so much for doing the "research" on the Walkaid for us. That
cattleprod idea is something my husband Pete would have thought of as well.
Jack sounds like he'd be a fun person to be around. Pete also told me that
Sketchers has a pair of shoes that when you step on the heel air shoots to
the toe. He thinks this could possibly be an aid in letting you know if you
are stepping correctly, meaning that if you don't feel the air, you didn't
do the heel-toe thing, you did the toe-heel. Just and idea.

We've also paid out-of-pocket many expenses, including a bucketfull on
Chiropractic expenses. I do believe that without it though, I would not be
in the condition that I am in.

Take care, and keep walking.

Hugs, Barbara A
