Hi Guys, For those of you who are wondering about Pam and Dan, who has been a bit under the weather. Pam has been caretaker for Dan for several months, since his doc found a tumor on Dan's vocal cords. They have both been feeling wiped out and Pam simply has no energy after taking care of Dan when she is not feeling so hot herself. However, the last time Dan saw the Dr. he was told that after all of the tests came back and were scrutinized completely by several specialists, the tumor is not cancer...but it is pre-cancer and must be operated on to have it removed and possibly there will be a course of radiation, but that is not for sure. Dan has gone back to work, but is experiencing not having the energy he is used to. Pam is now going to work at selling tickets for the raffle set up by Gunny, Pam and me. It is unfortunate that word of the Raffle got out before we were ready to bring it to the List. I don't know who it was, but it really made problems for us. Pam intended for the Raffle to be brought up to everyone to see if you all were interested in doing something for the List. Then Dan got sick, word got out that it was for, umm, I forgot the word for the Coalition, and so Gunny came on board and because he was excited, he got right on it and before we knew it the Raffle was for Dr. Kerr and research, which isn't all bad and in the long run is probably the best way to go. At any rate, there are still Raffle tickets to sell, and if anyone feels forgiving and up to selling some, contact Gunny and he will send them right out. Or, we will take monetary donations in the name of Jim Lubin. All of this is pre-Oprah show. We are open to ideas from any of you for things that we can do to keep the name of TMIC out there in the open, please contact me or Gunny.
In fact, I ought to bow out because of my illness, upcoming surgery and long recovery experience. Gunny is savvy with his experience at knowing how to put these things together. He knows people, places and has volunteered his energy to do all he can to get our plight out there and one of these days something might catch Oprah's interest and away we go. Pam is taking a few weeks off, until Dan is over with his surgery and all is well once again. Then, she is going to organize a fashion show, New O'rleans style fund raising parties, with help from the local business organizations. Of course, anything she does goes towards the List and Jim.
