hmm an idea..I've heard of yes but I am allergic to fish so I'd be too wary. I
do want to ask them about a shot just to get me thru vacation at least....and I
am looking into freecycle for crutches too.

I have heard that "shark cartlidge" works for
joint pain. My husband has used it for his back before. He does not have TM, my
daughter does, but it did help him tremendously. You can find it at Walmart in
the supplement section.
Has the Dr tried a cortisone shot to see if you would get
relief that way?

    I so need
SOME relief. I have tried the pain patches, topical ointments, a knee
brace...sometimes it helps, others it doesnt.
 I
just found out from my dr, that the xray says I have a case of arthritis
in my knee. (can they tell that from xray?)  Course they didnt tell
me what to do, or what they plan on doing, or what next (and i go away to
      fla in 3 weeks)
I am now drinking apple cider vinegar/honey/water
mixture and taking some move free.
I know that because of my TM, I can
develop arthritis (tho doc said it was "part of the aging
process")....wonder if I should call my
      neurologist?

Hi Krissy - your timing couldn't be any better.  I have been
absolutely suffering for the last 2 weeks + with pain in
my knee - left side, which also happens to be my most affected by
TM.  I've been using Icy Hot, which does help a tiny bit, but I
literally have not been able to put any pressure on my left leg at
all.  And I'm so sick of going to doctors that I haven't even
called for an appt.  I just keep hoping it will go away.  I
will be very interested in hearing what your xray shows.  I have
also tried taking ibuprofen and it hasn't helped. I'm not liking this
very much since it was already a challenge to walk!!

I'll ask too - has anybody else had to deal with this and any
        ideas on pain relief??

        Thanks to all
        Linda

               I went to the dr
today because my right knee has been bothering me, when I sit
for a bit or wake up from sleep its getting harder and harder
to
walk. Its not the knee cap but to the side a bit . (inner) She
took an xray, but havent heard back anything yet, and she said
i'll have an mri if nothing on xray. She told me to take
ibuprofen on a reg basis (up to 800 mg)  but it still
hurts
painfully to get up and walk  until I walk it out a bit. I
have applied heat but it doesnt seem to last long. It's on my
right leg too, which is the one most affected by the
                TM.

Any ideas what I could do to alleviate some of
                the pain?
Has anyone developed anything like this after
getting tm? I never had any pain of any sort with this
                tm...
