I am also praying for you. I will be going home on Friday, and I am certainly looking forward to it. I have been in this facility for 3 months receiving therapy. I have made a little progress. I am now able to feed myself most meals. I'm still unable to eat soup alone, LOL. I hope your IV antibiotics do the trick. I was given IV Vancomycin when I was last in the hospital. That's when I found out I was allergic to it. It made me break out in hives, and itch something terrible. Keep the faith, and know that we all are praying for you and Pam. The surgery will involve (if I got it straight) cutting the muscle in the back of her leg, above her heel. She says that she has had this procedure many times and it is no big deal, but it sounds like no fun to me.
