Nope Heather.....not a stupid question.....there are NO stupid
questions on this list honey.
I was a bit surprised when I read that letter from Dr. Douglass
myself but decided to send it to the list anyway.
I have been taking Neurontin for over ten
years and I know for a fact that it helps me with the neuropathic
pain and spasms in my lumbar. I've kept my dosage very low....
1200-1800 mg. a day because weight gain is one of the side
effects and I gained weight anyway from being paralyzed in the
beginning and sure don't want to gain any more.
I remember reading somewhere that Neurontin was put on the
market for epilepsy and then patients found out that it also
worked for their nerve pain so doctors started prescribing
it for that also.
I don't know what people they had in their clinical studies...
I think they should have used people with TM...!!!
Makes you wonder about clinical trials, doesn't it..?
Hugs, Lynn
