Gerry, how long have you had ITP? Did TM come after the ITP? Whatever, it sure isn't a very nice thing to happen. We'll keep positive thoughts that your new medicine will work. It's ok to sleep, Gerry. Your body needs it right now. Please rest and take care.

Yes it all began with Itp your memory is great. I have had ivig twice once for 3 days and another for 5 days. It raised my blood cell count to 85000 but only for a short period of time then it went down again. The only side effect with this is I am alsways sleepy. The doctors wanted to remove her spleen at one time, but my daughter really wanted to wait. Her blood count did finally come up to 50,000 but it still goes up and down. Are you still on the anti-rejection medication? If not, what is the next step? Will the doctors try IVIG? Please keep us posted as you know we need to know how you're doing.
