Jeanne,  I too had an episode like you described last year.  I had taken a shower, getting ready to go to the bank and the store.  While coming out of the bathroom, I was putting on my robe, walking towards my bedroom, and started thinking about what I wanted to wear.  All of a sudden, I was bouncing off walls, hitting my head and my shoulder then landing on my bottom.

I crawled to a chair and pulled myself up, then with the 1st step down I went again.  This went on twice more before I looked at my R foot, which was red and already starting to swell.  Needless to say, I didn't go out that day or for the next week.  I had to wheel myself around the house in an office chair using furniture, walls, and a cane.

Lesson learned - no more than 2 things on my mind at one time.  Also, I now know that pain relates to standing or should I say not standing.  I did go into the neuro two weeks later and of course he told me that the next time I should call 911 because a fall might cause something worse.

With little or no feeling in the legs, it is hard to tell what happens from time to time.  I know, I've looked at my legs and found bruises from unknown (unfelt) causes.  So, it is very important that we are very visual and sl l l l l o o o o ow with every move.

Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly!
Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably .
And never regret anything that made you smile.

Prayers and thoughts for you and yours,

Candy K.

Subject: [TMIC] Just a little something to share..

I have an interesting thing to share.  The other day I asked for prayers from you because I had what felt like a 'return' of some of the original TM symptoms and after falling I couldn't move my legs right away and they felt really strange.  It was scary.  I did get those prayers and many, many more and so many of you stepping up with words of encouragement which I am so thankful for.

Anyway, this morning when I was drying off after my shower I noticed my left ankle and foot was all black and blue and yellow so somewhere along the past several days, I must have sprained my ankle!  I probably twisted my foot when I stood which is why I fell!  I can't feel anything so it's no wonder I am just now noticing it.  We are so interesting!!  Jeanne in Dayton
