Hey Priscilla:
Thank you for the reply. I will now bring you up to date. When i
first started the Cymbalta I was pretty nautious for about a
week....this has since subsided...I have now been on the full dose of
Cymbalta which is 60 mg and so far the results for me have been
outstanding! I am taking 300 mg of Lyrica which I have reduced from 450
mg......anyway it appears that this new combination of drugs Lyrica &
Cymbalta has had a "major" effect in reducing the banding in both legs.
In fact this is the best my legs have felt in more than 11 years! The
only side effect I am seeing from the Cymbalta is a slight loss of
appetite and a much more mellow mood. At this point I could not be more
pleased.

PS: I also rejoined the gym by my house and I am swimming at least 3
times a week!

Hi Rob,

The nausea and lethargy will eventually subside. I have been on Lyrica
and Cymbalta for quite a while (don't remember) and it works for me.
Just give it a little time. Good luck...
  Have a wonderful day!
Priscilla

Hey Patti:
Thought I would give you an update. I am now taking 300 mg of
Lyrica (150 MG TWICE A DAY) and I have been on Cymbalta (30mg) for the
past week....it has certainly helped on the banding but it does make me
nautious and somewhat lethargic...and throw in constipation as well. I
am supposed to go to 60 mg of Cymbalta starting next week. Dr Kerr said
he expects the nausa to subside within a few weeks...I hope so. It does
seem to be making me somewhat mellow...can't wait until I go to 60mg...I
will probably fall asleep at work....and I also take 20mg of diazapan
each day....welcome to the wonderful world of TM!

All the best!

I take both Lyrica and Cymbalta, however, I also take Baclofen.
I take 100mg Lyrica x3, 10mg Baclofen x3, and 60mg Cymbalta in the
morning, 30mg Cymbalta in the afternoon. I tried an increase of 120mg
Cymbalta in the morning and got "brain zaps" (Google the term - it's not
fun) so I dropped back to 60mg. My Neuro was surprised that I couldn't
tolerate 120mg. Duh, it took talking with another doctor to realize I
should have split the dosage. That dr came up with the increase to 90mg
daily by splitting the dose and it worked with no additional side
effects. TM is tolerable on these dosages. The side effects are
constipation and ringing in my ears. I take all three pills together in
the morning then split the rest through out the day and evening.
Banding is minimal, pain is tolerable, amd my brain functions. Life is
good!
