I'm writing this in my calendar for when my contract expires in July.
The only drag is the inability to use my existing phone which
has a camera.

My nominal fee is $39.99 for 450 minutes unlimited nights and weekends
with Verizon but with taxes and state fees it's really $50/month.

AARP has a cell phone discount site. I'm currently paying $49.00 a month for my cell phone. I just signed with consumer Cellular - with a base price of $20.00 per month for 250 minutes per month This is $19 less per month with what I'm getting at Verizon. You do not need to be an AARP member but you do get a discount if you are. If you are interested, here's the website:
