You know, Kevin, she may get home and want to live again and end up not needing any other help. But, if things don't work out that way, Hospice or nursing care will be necessary and a blessing for you both. She is in God's hands and we just have to go with his judgments. He knows what to do. I wish you both the best either way things go.

We were told my Mom won't last 2 weeks if she continues refusing
food and drink. Her stroke put her in a clinical depressaion.
It's heartbreaking.

Hey Kevin,
My heart dropped when I saw Hospice, but after reading your e-mail & why you're getting Hospice, I think it's a great ideal. She will be closer to the things she loves, like you, her home and her music.
You both really need this time together right now.
Please keep us updated,
Todd in CC, TX

Has anyone had hospice for a family member in the home?

We want to try and bring my Mom home from the hospital with
hospice and a 24 hour nurse. She is refusing to eat and we are hoping
her being home will help comfort her.
