John, when my blood test showed less than 1/2 of normal levels, my dr. put me on the 50,000 per week but also advised that I take at least 2,000 IU daily. That resulted in an increase from 14 to 18 blood levels.
I've been taking10,000 U daily and am able to keep levels at 30. So, I guess I'm saying I think that a constant supply is better than 1 high dose. Talk to your doctor. Life is short! Break the rules!
