Kim, I'm laughing because you just said it all!! Pretty much covers
everything. I go to the doctor in the snow wearing totally open sandals -
can't feel the snow, but I can sure "feel" socks or shoes! Awful burning. The
first time my doctor saw me in sandals "in the snow" he looked at me with his
mouth open ready to speak, then he just smiled. The look on his face was
priceless, and I never said a word about my shoes or lack thereof. Just roll
with the tide~~~~

Hey, at least we are alive to feel our bodies! I drive my husband nuts
when I tell him all the "feelings" I have during a day's time. He just can
not imagine
  these sensations.

I have heard of different areas that could not stand to be touched.
makes me wonder about these nerves of ours, just what kind of battle they are
fighting with and what kind of mixed up signals they are sending to our brain.

I remember my neurologist said that the virus that started mine was gone and
my own autoimmune system was eating away at my nerves in the area affected and
he had to stop that with steroids.

had to eat a lot of protean to repair the myelin sheath around the spinal
cord that was damaged. that worked. got my coat back on but over damaged wires!

sure wish i could find a repair manual.

evidently the Doc's didn't get one either!

  anyone have any nerve pliers?
