Whoops, my bad! Actually, I vaguly recall watching a few
eps of that show. Unfortunatly, I have no memory what so ever of it.
Okay, NTML listers, please don't hate
me....more. I know this was originally on TMNT-L, pardon me for
cross-posting. But since Lisardo is on NTML, I wanted her to see this
since she's better with the cartoon eps than me. Peter's latest
Blast From the Past has a drawing of Donatello and Marshal Moo Montana which
was used for an action figure line. Wasn't there an episode that
featured him? Is it the one with the TMNT fighting a bull and
April getting cow-licked at the end? If so, I forgot the title of
it!
BTW, I was chatting with QM when I first saw the pic,
and I brought up the fact that Laird actually drew Donatello's initial on his
belt, which made it very un-Mirage. Mike then mentioned that both cartoon
shows were on CBS Saturday morning at one point. Kinda cool, really!

Yes!
I used to wake up every Saturday morning to tape from 8 to 9 two TMNT
eps. The colors were brighter and vivid and the animation was more
toony-looking. T.V. Guide ran an article for the release of the
syndication onto CBS in 1990. I remember they used a still photo of the
four of them standing there just after Donatello gave April the Turtle Com for
the first time. It was also the episode introducing the Turtle
Blimp. Title....title....title! Grrrrrrah! *drops head onto
keyboard with a fierce thud* Can't think of titles at the moment.
:( Anyway, the article said the first half hour would have the usual
romps with Shredder and his team while the other half
was with typical baddies around town.
As for Peter adding the
initial on Don's belt, he's done that before when drawing for some of the
covers of the Archie comics. I guess since those and the action figures
were based on the cartoon, he wanted to keep the style looking the
same!
