>Heh... thanks for the compliments, guys! :D >::makes me feel all warm and tingly inside::
yeah... you did an interesting pic of Don there too. Looks like he ain't quite so sure about doing something detramental. You have a good style, like a mix oc comic book with commercial graphic seasoning... be proud of it. Just so happened to swing by the Behind the Masks site yesterday (in search of some decent "submit a form" examples), and noticed a nice line up of HP art there too. <<As for the drop shadow. It's fairly easy to make whether using a layer effect or creating it from scratch. Okay, I used Adobe Photoshop 5.0 for this (i know i'm a bit behind the times...) Anyway, to make a cheap drop shadow: Go to the Layer menu, choose Effects, and Drop Shadow. You will be given options on how you want it to look. However, these drop shadows offer little depth. They look more like a paper cutout lying on a table.>> *feels the urge to thank GW again for PS 6!* Shyaa... before when I had PS 4, I was soooo puzzled about doing stuff like that too. It took me many an experimental try to get the seperate black lines so I can even do the CG coloring! And drop shadows? *phift* That was even harder to figure out! Then... then, I get my mitts on PS 6, and things like dropshadows, beveled edges, etc are all automated! Sweet! >Note: The original image must be on a transparent layer in order for >this >to work. ie. The image of donatello should be the only thing on >that layer >to have color. No, I don't find yah confusing (or maybe it was cause I had PS 4 for so long). ;p But I guess that's the same sort of trick that you just do for PS 6... have a transparent layer of lines, then just layer the color and shading behind that? (It was already set up like that since I imported the Illus file into PS). Before, with PS4, I had to do some weird thing in setting up an alpha channel layer so the lines and shading are in a set-up all their own. But since I hadn't practiced that, I can remember how to do it again! :P ~HT "Your beauty will be reflected in the power of my arms and the flanks of my horse!" - Sir William, A Knights Tale :::::::XX For what do you quest?
