1: What color text, background, and font size are easiest to read on?

Actually, I find that .txt files are the easiest to read... That's black text on a
white bg with courier font. Stay away from blues, reds, greens or yellows. These
seriously screw up your eyes. Not so much when you are reading, but when you move to
different page or look away from the computer.

Decent spelling, clear word usage, understandable sentences, paragraphs that are at
least three sentences long. Of course, most of these can be given some leeway, since
much of the time you are writing dialogue and not an essay.

Yes, it does. However, if used with some control, the ellipses can be on your side.
They can be used effectively in highly dramatic points.

Also, the way I was taught to use ellipses in school was "word preceding left out
words . . . words following left out word"

or

"end of sentence. . . . Words following left out words."

Actually, sorry, this question contains a major pet peeve of mine. Subject/verb
agreement and tense agreement. In this case, "thing" is the subject and "are" is the
verb. They should both be plural or singular, not mixed. Here is a sentence showing
common mistakes in tense agreement: "He jumped on the chair as he is dancing wildly."
The sentence should be restructured: "He jumped on the chair and danced wildly."

Oh yeah, punctuations come immediately before a closing quotation mark.
