I've checked the Preview Site Archive and New Listing,
and the Leonardo Statue hasn't been cancelled ^_^

For the ones who don't know it, The entire Preview Catalog is online,
with every month a new one on time, so no need to buy the Catalog.
It's easier as well because you can do a Ctrl+F to do a quick catalog search ;)
I use these two links because they are always the same:

I ordered a Leo Statue at my local comic shop here in the Netherlands,
because of his connections with the States.
I only hope he can get a Leo Statue because it still is International...
The Store Owner could tell me that he got a Receipt of the Statues,
and he ordered four of them, including one for his own collection :)

Take Care,
Geert

LEE:      Yeah....I go around with my dealer...I told him it was his
job/responsibilty to get the stuff to his customers.
He said once it gets to him, then he does....

MY REPLY: Forgive me if I sound harsh or like I am taking you to task in
this email, I have a lot of experience behind me in terms of the comic
industry, and some of the things you said sounded odd to me.
Yes, it is an owner's responsibility--but only to a point! Your owner is
right in what he said to you.
The key is, if the distributors don't get ordered items on time from the
*vendors* who create them, then there isn't a bloody thing either the
distributor OR the store owner can do about it. It ultimately lays with
the publisher/item maker.
Nextly, the distributor (aka in this case as the Previews reps) allow
for a certain amount of time that something can be late. If it goes past
that time (and I do not know exactly what that magic formula is), then
Previews/distributors CANCEL the item and require a RESOLICITATION in
Previews.
That is why I wrote that if we checked on the Previews website, they
might have info about any delays, cancellations for resolicitations,
etc. I didn't exactly expect the average store owner to be able to
answer that unless you have a great rapport with him and he's willing to
do some research or keeps up on the items his customers order. But DO
NOT get upst with your store owner if they don't know, or won't go find
out. They have enough to do, especially at this time of year than
worrying over one statue.

LEE:      So he told me to yell at whoever it is on-line...so I looked
from the official site to the Previews site...and that
said print the page and take it to your dealer for them to order
it....*rolls eyes*

MY REPLY: Well that was clearly the ordering info. Did you check the
dates to see if there's been a resolicitation/changed shipping date? I
haven't gone digging on Previews site, heck, I don't even get their
catalogs anymore because they charge for them and I think it's silly
because it's all advertising! (Also, I don't order enough comics to make
it worth paying for.) But is there a section on the site about when
items are due to ship? Cancelations/resolicitations listings, etc.?

LEE:      Yeah, I thought it was odd that no one talked about it...and I
figured no one had read the email...
Duane - who, for the record, couldn't believe all the listers were
suddenly unfans...

MY REPLY:
Whaat????? Unfans??? No one read it? Hm. I did anyway.
Well, maybe no one else did read it, or maybe some did read it and
either didn't order the statue in the first place--I am quite sure there
are ppl that are not going to be able to afford these, or like me are
probably only ordering their fave turtle, so all the Don/Mike/Raph fans
are waiting--or just didn't know what to say.
I think you need to cut everyone some slack, heck, maybe everyone
doesn't check the board/list mail every day. Judging the level of "true
fandom" over whether or not ppl ordered a statue and are concerned
enough about the lateness to post about it is--uh--silly.
When you consider all that's been going on out in the world lately,
including the question of where these were being made at, such as, if
they were being made overseas--there was a west coast dockworkers strike
that really made a huge mess of shipping not too long ago. There are
things that got delayed because of that. Does that affect the Leonardo
statues? I have NO idea. I am just raising it as something to consider,
that the world doesn't revolve around our fandom. At best, we can be
positive ripples in the greater world pond. ;p

Peace out, and maybe with patience, we will be rewarded.

Leonardo
