Hey, everyone,
I've been doing some HTML experiments at my TMNT Fan Art Page to make your viewing a lot more easier, and let me tell you, it's been a real pain in the arse!  My goal is to make that Tripod pop-up ad NOT appear every time you click on a thumbnail image and by doing that, I had to learn how to make a new window when viewing the larger image.  I thank Mikey Quartermane from the bottom of my heart when he showed me his HTML code of turning a thumbnail link into a smaller window for the larger image.  This stuff takes patience which, at times, I don't have, and he was very patient with me.  I only played with the first image, Shadow and Don, to see if I could do it.

After all the fun of inserting the new HTML Java Scripts, it worked!  I made the thumbnail link open a smaller window to a new htm file.  The image worked perfectly but one problem!  Tripod reads the new window as an htm so again, the pop-up appears!  :(  No escape from it!  And you can only have a text caption for your image in a htm file.  I felt totally at a loss, wondering what to do.

However, I tried something else.  *evil grin*  I took the large jpg image, went to CorelDRAW, extended the paper size, and typed in the text caption below the image from there!  Went back to Tripod file manager, uploaded the new image and boom!  Now, the thumbnail link goes to the jpg extension and there's the text caption I typed in from Corel!  And guess what?  It's a jpg extension so NO Tripod pop-up ad!!

To make a long story short (too late!), I can create the thumbnail links to open smaller windows and prevent the Tripod ad from appearing all the time!  Of course, it'll appear when you first arrive, there's no getting around that.  At least I found a way around it popping up between links.

Okay, so if any of you could, please go check out the page and click on the first thumbnail image, Shadow and Don, to see what you think.  If you like it, I'll do the same changes to the other...gulp, 69 pictures!  But, ahhhh, seeing as I have to get up early tomorrow and my next day off isn't till Thursday, this new change for all the images will take awhile.  QUITE awhile.  :P

Thanks, everyone (and to Mike again!), for putting up with me!  Bye!
