Ugh... I want spring already!
But anyhoo, I was driving to work this morning when the radio DJs
started talking about wierd pets. Then one asked the other how his new
pet turtle, Bullet, was. They thought it was so funny the guy had a pet
turtle now (I guess someone in his family had gotten it). So they made
a few more jokes, like "Wow, he must be so nice to come home to".
"Yah, all he does is sitt there in tha aquarium."
Then the DJ goes on about how the turtle got out of his aquarium, only
to end up getting stuck on his back after falling out. So one and
wondered, "What if the aquarium is the only universe it knows? So if
he leaves it, he had just left the universe, which explains why he's
stuck on his back! Well, that should teach him."
Another pipes up, wondering if they should outsmart the turtle by
putting another aqyarium under the first tank. "But then he'll have
fallen into a parallel universe!"
Hoo boy, I guess this was one of those "you had to have been there"
situations to understand how funny it was. They also had a few more
turtle-tortoise jokes after their guest comedian came in. He was like
"Hey, I was from Maryland, the home of the Fighting Terrapins!"
DJ1 "Fighting Turtles.. ohh."
DJ2 "I dunno, a fighting turtle? Ehhh..."
DJs laugh, but they did not mention TMNT. Darn. ;p
