Doesn't sound like it's the same issue since the screen is restored by
refreshing the xterm. But turning off jump scroll can be done in one of the
xterm menus brought up with ctrl-mouse click. Don't remember which mouse
button. There is also an xterm command line option to turn jump scroll off
if I remember correctly.
