Hi,

I am using Bash on Windows, and trying to compile tmux from source.

I’ve done the following steps:

$ git clone https://github.com/tmux/tmux.git
$ autogen.sh
$ configure
$ make
$ make install

All steps completed successfully.

However, when I run tmux, I have the following error:

$ tmux -V
tmux: error while loading shared libraries: libncursesw.so.6: cannot
open shared object file: No such file or directory

When I check out the 2.4 tag to build, I get the same error.

I have the following ncurses libraries installed

$ apt search libncurses

Does anyone know what might be wrong here, and how I can fix it?
