I downloaded the tar file onto my home directory then typed
$ tar xvzf tmux-2.5.tar.gz
$ cd tmux-2.5.tar.gz
$ ./configure && make
It runs the whole thing, even the make part of it but no install file is
created for me to run the install I am on Red hat 6.7 and I am using MobaXterm
but I tried with Putty and it didn't work either.
This is what happens when I try to type installl
