Yeah, that's fair enough.

The use-case on this (and hence why I suggest hooks
*might* help here) is that I often leave choose-tree running and come back to
it, having done things to sessions/windows/panes in the meantime, such that
the tree view was out of date.  This meant that I could have potentially ended
up trying to manipulate a window which didn't exist, for instance.
